Red-Kote

Red-Kote® is a veterinary wound care product for use on horses and dogs. This antiseptic scarlet red oil wound dressing is designed for use on slow healing wounds. The non-drying formula soothes and softens skin to help stimulate new, healthy skin growth. It is ideal for use on superficial wounds, scratches, lacerations, rope burns, wire cuts, slow healing ulcers, abrasions, chafes and surface cuts.

Red-Kote® helps to prevent white hair in healing wounds and proud flesh in horses. It can also be used to help treat bumblefoot, dry scales, leg mites and scaly leg in chickens. Do not use on food producing animals or cats. Do not allow animals to lick areas where Red-Kote® has been applied.

Ingredients: Red-Kote® contains Phenol, Biebrich Scarlet Red, Isopropyl Alcohol 4.2% by volume. In a soothing, softening vegetable oil base.

Indications: Red-Kote® is an antiseptic red oil wound dressing for slow healing wounds. Non-drying, soothes, softens. Treats surface cuts, wire cuts, rope burns and slow healing ulcers.

Dosage and Administration: Clean and dry affected area thoroughly before applying. Keep wound clean and dry. Only a light application is needed. Use either as an open wound treatment or under bandage. Repeat once or twice daily or as indicated until healing takes place.

Do not use or store aerosol application near heat or open flame. Exposure to temperature above 120° F, may cause bursting. Do not puncture or incinerate aerosol can.

Caution: FOR EXTERNAL VETERINARY USE ONLY. USE ONLY AS DIRECTED. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. DO NOT USE ON CATS. Prevent dogs from licking treated area. If redness, irritation, or swelling persistes or increases, discontinue use and consult veterinarian. In case of serious burns, deep or puncture wounds, consult veterinarian. Not for use on food-producing animals. Avoid Inhalation.
